Finished re-submitting the Data Structures assignment and e-mailing the Prof. to re-evaluate the assignment. I think I have a good case for 3 more marks.



Went to ECY place for most of the day. Wasn't feeling to good so I left early ~@9:30pm.

Spent the entire day working on the TML assignment. There was three things to do: 1) Fix the, 'parsing' file bug, 2) JavaDoc's and testing it under Borland's IDE. I thought the bug with parsing the file (the need to have a blank line at the beginning) was going to take a long time to find -- it took minutes to fix. The JavaDocs took a long time - several hours and the testing under Borland's IDE went really smoothly. The solution for their tool is have every class in a seperate file.



Finished the assignment at: ~@11:40pm.



Waited until just after 12:00 midnight to see if ECY would phone. Never heard but not important I was dead tired from the previous 3 nights and the long week.



Now my March break starts!!!

Had to drop off PetiteP's glasses at his Mother place today before 11:00am. Decided that the best time was before 9:00am. Phoned ahead but no reponse, decided to go anyway. Was lucky just caught her openning up ~@9:00am. Left after a quick short conversation and head to school for 9:30am.



Was going to do a, 'drop' of the assignment today, but I felt that if a dropped a version of the assignment it just wasn't ready. Plus I needed to convert it to 'Borlands' Java and didn't want to take the time to do this before I was finished.



I had a lot to finish at school today. Got back the Data Structures assignment. Gave it back to the Prof in the same class to re-evaluate. Did the Lab I missed earlier in the week. Was happy to get this out of the way, as I was planning on doing this at school Sat. night @9:00pm, which is not a good plan.



Well got it out of the way, but then the Database course's lab today was new and therefore I would not have the time to finish the 'client' application. As it turns out the lab was short 'transaction' and I was able to finish the other lab after then start the Java Client for the database. Had some problems connecting to the database and it turned out to be an incorrect CLASSPATH to the Postgress driver. Thank God the Prof helped me find this cause I would have never found it.



PetiteP phoned me at 6:20pm while I was still working on the assignment to go buy glasses at the Grande Mall. I arranged for 7:20pm.



I arrived ~@7:23pm. Not too bad. We went to the mall with his Mother. He bought a PS2 game (Grand Theft Auto] while we were there.



Returned home ~@10:20pm so work on the assignment.



Stay up to 12:00pm working on the assignment.

For the Adv java assignment there was a, 'tutorial' held @4:00pm. Went into town before to search for shoes and get some gas. Visited EconoSport but didn't dind what I wanted.



The tutorial was in formal and since other students were not asking questions I took the opportunity to ask my questions. Verified that I have been doing things right and now I just need to finish it.



Up late again working on the TML assignment.

Wrote the Adv. Java Class exam. Hard to tell how it went. There was 18 question that ranged to various topics we covered. In fact each question was proceded with the class # when we covered the topic.



All exams need to be rushed thru since there's no time to stop and think.



The last question regarding CASTing and Exception handling was interesting. I had studied the CASTing examples a lot in preparation but didn't really have enought time to think about this problem. Hope I did OK.



Now have 2 days to finish the Adv Java TML (Tiny Machine Language) assignment. It's a cool assignment. Create a mini machine language interpreter that is easily modifiable to allow future commands without changing the executor.



Therefore I was up late 2:00am doing the assignment.

DataStructures exam today. Changed the room for writing the test. The exam was long.



Another long night up studying for tomorrow's Adv Java Class. Lot's of notes to review.



Decided that it's best to 'skip' the CSC Lab before the class, so I can have an extra 3 hours of studying.

Studied for CSC204. Lot's of information here. We know she going to ask about postfix and prefix stuff and running time of various sorting techniques.

Going to be a 'long' week. The final week before March break has a few MidTerm exams and multiple assignments due.

Went to ECY place after midnight to watch the DVD, "Searching for Nemo". Fell asleep within 20 minutes.

CSC204 Assignment #2 was due today. Kinda an interesting programming problem, "The Joesephus Problem". Turns out my number is 73, if I'm the 15th person in a group of 18 people.

CSC116 - Machine Language course midterm today. Never enough time to finish these things but I hope I did OK?!



Was very overwhelmed in CSC121 today and unfortunately running late from another lab, so I had to ask [in front of everyone - ~49 people] if we could get an extension for the next assignment. Thank GOD he said yes. Now due next Fri.



Today I asked what was the design decision behind Strings and StringBuffers were in Java. Why would they not use StringBuffers behind the scenes for Strings?



Went home and worked on the CSC204 Assignment it was, "done", but wanted to remove references to 'count'.

Worked on CSC204 until 12:04am. Cool it finally works.

Long lab for the Machine Language course. Included some C again.

Odd to wake up at my place on a Sunday morning and with the new blinds everything is 'dark'.

Started to put up the final set of blinds but then decided it was better to go to Simons to exchange the cloths I bought at XMas. Left ~@3:15pm. The person was great after looking at the replacement available I decided to keep what I had. They fixed the little problem with it and gave me a much better caring bag for the cloths. Great! Went to FutureShop after and Illusions. Saw a decent pair of DCShoes for $109.00.



Returned home to start diner and finish the blinds.



Afterwards watched the DVD, "Seabiscuit". Nicely 'family' movie. Movie ended later 11:45pm. Before I went to bed burned a backup of my family photos.



Alex Skyped me late when I noticed he as still online. Had some odd news about his family.

A long day. Handed in two assignments and went to the afternoon database lab. It was about Postgres 'rules' [and triggers].

Got back CSC101 - 75%.



Honda phoned just after my morning class finished and since I was heading home to eat [I was starving] it was perfect timing.



Got back CSC204 Quiz #1 - 80% and Assignment #1 - 80%.



Finished off homework for CSC207 and CSC116 assignment due tomorrow. Kinda rushed so I could go, 'play' with ECY but once I finished ~@9:50pm and called him, he said he was watching a movie. So made tentative arrangements for Friday night since he said he finish 'earily' 'ish.

Phoned Honda, they said the car would be ready for Thursday morning.



CSC101 lab went extra fast since I did some prework last night with XOR. Finally got it.



Worked on CSC116 assignment due Fri.

ECY phoned ~@5:30pm about going out. I was thinking about it but ultimately decided not to. Decided to look at tomorrow's CSC101 lab, implementing a XOR function. Tried to find some 'circuit simulator' on the net, but havn't found anything, yet!

Long day. Had to do a 'C' language part for the CSC116 Lab. Had some problems but asked the Prof and resolved them before leaving late for CSC121.



Cut my hair with PetiteP's Mother's razor.

Woke-up at a reasonable time and I attempted to 'tag' ECY's face [with the markers from Toys-R-Us] while he was sleeping. Unfortunately I only managed to make a small mark before he eventually woke-up. He started 'tagging' me. Since no one else was there we had a 'normal' cereal breakfest.



Decided to go to the Grande Mall ~@3:00pm.



Mini-Pomme showed up ~@5:00pm. He was great totally 'got-it' about 'tagging' and tagged my face. He left after ~@8:30pm.



Went to pickup APJ and bring him back to ECY's place.



Went to bed ~@11:15pm at my place.

Waited most of the day to go to ECY's place, but was also busy repairing the computer. Got everything back on and things look good.



ECY phoned ~@11:40pm and said he'd be ready in 20min, unfortunately I would take at least 40min to get ready and get to his work.



Normal 'late night' at his place. No Mini-Pomme.

Got the final lab of the day done ~@2:00pm and headed to Toy'R'Us to pickup some things for the weekend. On the way stopped at Honda to check the status of the car. They said they need to keep it to Mon or Tues.



Did some end of week enjoyable shopping and headed home for ~@5:30pm. It's been a long week and I'm glad it's over.

Went to school and half hour early.



My under warranty Honda appointment is today and I was off early today from school (~@2:30pm) so I went to Honda to see if they could start a bit early on the car. Turns out my appointment was for 4:30pm so I went to the Grande mall to waste some time. Ended up buying a new Billy Bong shirt. ~@3:50pm left the mall and went to get ECY at school. After departing the mall the car brakes stopped working and I hit another women's car at a red light. Luckly I was not going fast. We both got out of the car and everything looks fine, but I have to look at it a bit more, after Honda finished with the other repairs. Honda gave ECY and I a taxi ride back to my place where I made a checkin diner. ECY split ~@6:30pm taking the bus. Phoned Honda ~@8:00pm to check the status. They said they had to keep the car over night, so they sent a taxi and I went to get a 'loaner'. Went to get pickup ECY at the mall @~8:40pm. Took him and APJ back to APJ's place 'cause he was staying over.

Missed the first two classes in the morning because of the CSC121 Assignment. However within 1/2 hours of finishing it ~@11:03am the professor e-mailed everyone annoucing that the class was cancelled and the due date was extended to Friday. Unfortunately I didn't get the news until the CSC101 lab ~@12:30pm. Completed the lab and left for the day.

Had a CSC101 Mid-term today, reasonable test but don't know how I did. Also a CSC204(?) assignment due. Since the class was in the afternoon I decided to put the print out under the professor's door and get home to work on the CSC121 Ass #2.





Stayed up to 4:00am doing the CSC121 assignment. This would turn out not to be wise.

Finished off the CSC204 assignment and studied for tomorrow's CSC101 Mid-term. Went to bed ~@1:00am.

Woke-up late ~@11:30pm, had a lite breakfast, and wasted they day until ~@3:00pm when I left. Planning on doing the CSC121 assignment but then PetiteP phoned and said bring over the WC and OD for ~@5:30pm and have diner.



Went over @5:30pm and had an enjoyable diner. Reviewed some family photos and Church photos to send to family and the Church. Left ~@8:00pm.
